They have been used to symbolise earth, air, fire water & spirit. They also symbolise protection, power, magic & the masculine & feminine. Some believe that the Pentacle offers more protection; with its surrounding circle it may also symbolise balance, unity, harmony, infinity & the Goddess as well as the harmony of all its elements.
