The Iron Fairies | Iron Miner | Old Man Merv.
The Iron Fairies are a collection of cast iron sculptures by Australian artist, Ashley Sutton. The grumpy Iron Miners are the ‘makers’ of the Iron Fairies.
Red rust covered skin, stretched over my wrist,
Time in the garden, no more digging in pits.
No one ever listens, but I need to heard,
Walking the Gardens listening for song birds.
Some of the Iron sculptures have a rusty sort of look and some are more blue or green. Eventually The Iron Fairies will all develop a beautiful patina of natural rust, whether you give them a home indoors or out.
Each Iron sculpture comes in its own personalised bag.
The height of the Iron Fairies vary from approximately 6 -10cm. The fairies sitting down are the smallest. Each Iron Fairy is hand cast & will be slightly unique in appearance with slight colour variations.
